In the True Kitchen – lets sauce it up…

Not til I started a plant based diet did I realize that most of what I was eating had little to no flavor. It was THE SAUCE ON TOP that I was addicted to. So you know what happened? I got to work at manifesting the same recipes that I loved, threw them on all kinds of plant based items and felt a hell of a lot better.

When you come on retreat you will notice – some of the sauces will double as a dip, a dressing, a soup – something that can be thickened, or thinned, sweetened or made more savory depending on what you are doing. Home made and EASY – have more flavor – I hear all the time – I just can’t stop eating this salad. Why is it so amazing?! ITS THE DRESSING!

No preservatives, no chemicals, a dash sometimes – of whole sugars, lots of herbs and a heartyness or lightness that you are looking for. As I write this, the more I realize how many we have – so stay tuned as we work through our Summer. This is a topic that we will certainly return to! VERMONT BALSAMIC
1/2C EVOO
1/4 C RICE WINE VINN

1 T BALSAMIC
3 T VEMRONT MAPLE SYRUP

1 T DJON
1 CLOVER GARLIC

SEA SALT TO TASTE
PINCH OF BLACK PEPPER

*BLEND…..

CBD HONEY VINAIGRETTE
3 T Organic Yodder Farm Apple Cider Vinnegar
2 T Organic Canola Oil
1 T Organic Honey
2 t Luce Farm CBD Honey
*or honey that you have on hand. The CBD just makes it more tasty 😉
Pinch of sea salt
* Blend! adjust to taste

TAHINI – YUM
6 T TAHINI
4 T LEMON JUICE
SEA SALT TO TASTE
WATER TO THIN…
**I like to add: 1 clove garlic, 1/2T onion powder, cayenne to taste & 1 t of ground cumin!
**THROW THIS ON EVERYTHING!! From salads to, dipping platters to veggies and rice, BBQ grilled skewers! SPICE it up, add herbs to taste. Sub water for Carrot juice for a real treat. Add dates, & ginger, a dash of nama shoyu for a sweet version I like to call BON BON – delicious!

OIL FREE LIVE AVOCADO AND LIME (SOUP and) DRESSING
2 AVOCADOES
1 CUCUMBER JUICED
4 CELERY STALKS
1 LIME JUICED
2t CUMIN
1t GROUND CORIANDER
PINCHES OF SEA SALT TO TASTE
1C OF WATER TO DESIRED CONSISTENCY
HANDFUL OF CILANTRO
PINCHES OF PEPPER!

*JUICE THE CUCUMBER – OR JUST THROW IT IN
*BLEND EVERYTHING ELSE – THIN TO DESIRED THICKNESS. THIS IS AWESOME ON A SPINACH OR ARUGULA SALAD, hearty KALE or in a bowl with chopped veggies added!
